Breweries & distilleries,
handled hygienically.
Stainless steel conveying systems engineered for breweries and distilleries — from grain intake and malt transfer through molasses, DDGS and spent grain removal.

Hygienic, dust-tight — from grain to glass.
At Stellex, we engineer stainless steel screw conveyors for breweries and distilleries to handle grain, malt, molasses, DDGS, yeast, sugar and flavor additives with hygienic, dust-tight and efficient transfer. Our designs preserve ingredient quality, reduce cleanup and integrate seamlessly with mash, fermentation and packaging lines.
From grain intake to spent grain removal — every system is custom-designed for your process, your materials and your compliance requirements.

Common questions.
Straight answers.
Grain, mash, spent grain and dosing — questions brewers and distillers send us most.
Q/01Can Stellex dewater spent grain from a brewhouse?
Yes. Our dewatering screw conveyors compact wet spent grain during transfer to reduce moisture content before disposal or sale as cattle feed, cutting both haulage cost and downstream drying load.
Q/02How do you handle malt and grain for brewing without breakage?
Malt and barley are conveyed at reduced screw speeds with generous flight clearances to minimise kernel damage. Tubular screw conveyors and bucket elevators keep the grain bed gentle and dust-free.
Q/03Do you supply dosing systems for hops and brewing additives?
Yes. Volumetric and gravimetric dosing feeders deliver precise hop, enzyme and flavour-additive charges into the brewhouse, sized from small craft batches to industrial brewery throughputs.
Q/04How is DDGS (distillers dried grains with solubles) handled?
DDGS is sticky and moisture-sensitive. We use shaftless or jacketed screw conveyors with anti-bridging hopper designs and temperature control to move wet DDGS reliably into drying or feed-pelletising lines.
Q/05Can your conveyors integrate with an existing lauter tun or mash filter?
Yes. Stellex builds spent-grain discharge conveyors and pneumatic transfer systems to suit the geometry and discharge schedule of existing lauter tuns, mash filters and beer-mash centrifuges.
