Q/01How do Stellex conveyors handle plastic pellets without degradation?
Pellets are conveyed at low rotational speeds in oversized U-trough or tubular screws to keep shear forces low. Smooth-bore housings, polished flights and gentle inlet geometry prevent angel-hair and fines generation.
Q/02Can you dose masterbatch into an extrusion line?
Yes. Stellex volumetric and gravimetric dosing feeders meter masterbatch, colour and additive pellets into extruder throats and compounding lines, with feed-rate control matched to the host line's screw speed.
Q/03How is regrind (recycled flake) handled?
Regrind tends to be inconsistent in bulk density and prone to bridging. We use vibratory or live-bottom hoppers paired with shaftless or large-pitch screw conveyors to ensure reliable flow into the compounding line.
Q/04Do you build anti-static / explosion-safe conveying for fine polymer powders?
Fine polymer powders can be combustible. We supply earthed, bonded, dust-tight enclosures with anti-static filter media on the dust collector and ATEX-rated motors and instruments where the zone classification demands it.
